The Chief Operating Officer at Cenovus says he thinks Canada has enough workers to meet the demands of the oil sands industry.

John Brannan said in Calgary that the industry has kept pace with demands so far, and there are already enough people across the country to fill the spots.

Cenovus said this month it’s still aiming to triple its output to 500 thousand barrels a day by 2021.

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers says the oil sands will jump from 75 thousand jobs in 2010 to more than 900 thousand by 2035.
