Cold Lake mosque thanks supporters after vandalism incident

A prayer service thanking supporters in Cold Lake was held a month after the words “Go Home” were spray-painted across a mosque.

A brick was also thrown through one of its windows during an incident that made headlines across the country.

In a Global Edmonton report, Riaz Ingar is quoted from his address at the service. He said the community’s response was gratifying. He offered thanks to supporters who started repairing the mosque just hours after the reports of vandalism.

Cold Lake RCMP is investigating the incident. No arrests have been made so far.
