Another Canadian actor is protesting against the oilsands. Dave Thomas, known for his character Doug McKenzie, says he opposes TransCanada’s proposed keystone XL pipeline extension.
He is supporting a Greenpeace protest against the industry. Greenpeace says it hopes to have hundreds of protesters at the Centennial Flame in Ottawa on Monday.
He says he believes the proposed Keystone XL pipeline extension would be an environmental disaster.
Thomas did say that he told the people he had made comments to that he didn’t think his opinion mattered, and that the project would be approved anyway.
