Connacher Oil and Gas is looking for a partner to expand its oil sands production.
It’s hoping to get an extra 24,000 barrels per day out of its Algar steam-assisted gravity drainage project on its Great Divide property, south of Fort McMurray.
The company announced it’s hired an investment bank to help find a joint-venture partner.
The company hopes to get approval for the expansion later this year, and start construction in early 2012.
