Another oil and gas company is in talks to partner with Kuwait’s state-owned oil company in the oil sands.
The Globe and Mail reports that Connacher Oil and Gas out of Calgary is the third company in talks with Kuwait Petroleum and Athabasca Oil.
Athabasca has confirmed it’s planning to develop its Hangingstone and Birch properties with Kuwait.
Hangingstone is 20 kilometres southwest of the city while Birch is 105 kilometres to the northwest.
The two could produce just under 250 thousand barrels per day combined.
