The Canadian Taxpayers Federation says the AHS scandal shows that all MLA and bureaucrat expenses should be posted online.

Alberta director Scott Hennig says the premier already promised to do that.

“Premier Redford, when she was running for the leadership of the PC Party, committed to us in writing that, if elected, she would require that all MLA expenses, cabinet expenses, would be put up online,” he recalled.

Hennig says it’s not hard to do.

“I mean, it involves a scanner, and putting a few documents up on a website,” he said. “They’ve figured out how to do it in Ottawa.”

The B.C. government also pledged this week to make expenses public.
