Delays expected as Parsons Creek interchange construction ramps up

As construction on the Parsons Creek interchange continues to escalate, drivers should expect delays when driving through the area.

Over the next three to four weeks, workers will periodically stop traffic for 15 minute intervals, while they move equipment on and off Highway 63.

However, Alberta Transportation says the stops will not happen between 5 and 8 am, as well as between 4:30 and 8:30 pm.

The workers are building connection roads that traffic will eventually be re-routed on, while the bridge and new roads are assembled.

The first phase of the interchange is scheduled to be finished by next October, with the interchange fully complete in 2016.
