One of Fort McMurray’s great Obstetrician/Gynecologists will have the water park bearing his name officially opened this weekend.
The RMWB is cutting the ribbon on the Dr. K. P. Wong Waterpark on Saturday, Aug. 29, starting at 1 p.m. in the Syncrude Athletic Park at 100 Cartier Road in Timberlea.
Bring bathing suits and towels to help break in the new waterpark, in case of rain the ceremony will take place inside the nearby clubhouse.
Dr. Wong delivered an estimated 20,000 babies over his 40-year career in Fort McMurray. He passed away on Jun. 4, 2014.
