Students in 15 schools across Wood Buffalo will get some help learning about biodiversity from six special guests over the next two weeks.

The Earth Rangers program is coming back to Fort McMurray for the first time since 2013 in partnership with Syncrude.

“Our partnership with  Syncrude will allow us to not only reconnect with the more than 200 families currently engaged with our Membership Program, but will also ensure that number grows as we reach more schools and students in the area than ever before,” said Peter Kendall, Executive Director of Earth Rangers.

Students will get a visit from a descented stripe skunk, a Red-tailed Hawk, an American Kestrel and a black and white Tegu starting today.

The Earth Rangers is a kids’ conservation organization dedicated to educating children and their families about biodiversity.
