The organization’s board of directors voted to end operations back on February 3.
It had run into financial trouble last year, and was forced to shut down after losing money on last year’s Canada Day concert.
The city ended up taking over the Santa Clause Parade and WinterPLAY events.
Events Wood Buffalo is currently working with the city to come to an agreement on the sale of some the organization’s assets.
The city will update council at its next meeting March 25.
