Federal government will continue to push for Keystone XL's approval

Reaction from Ottawa to the United States’ decision to can the Keystone XL pipeline for now hasn’t exactly been positive.

Natural Resources minister Joe Oliver says this underlines the need for Canada to sell oil to Asia.

China wants to diversify its energy sources, while Canada should diversify its market for oilsands crude.

Oliver also points to the tens of thousands of jobs that would have been created had the pipeline been approved.

TransCanada says that they will re-apply for the pipeline.
