Five people charged with drug trafficking

Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams’ Wood Buffalo Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Wood Buffalo) executed a search warrant in downtown Fort McMurray on December 7, resulting in drug trafficking charges against five people.

CFSEU-Wood Buffalo, assisted by Wood Buffalo RCMP Police Dog Services, searched an apartment where they seized 10 grams of crack cocaine, three grams of cannabis marihuana, $3,600 cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The following individuals are each charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

• Mohamed OMAR, 26
• Rage MOHAMED, 20
• Amin Ali YUSSUF, 21
• Ahmed AHMED, 20
• Feysal Yusuf FARAH, 25

FARAH was also arrested on seven outstanding warrants.
