Former Oil Baron and Fort McMurray native Brad Stebner has scored a pro hockey contract.
The 24-year-old signed an amateur tryout contract with the Stockton Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League.
Stebner just wrapped up his NCAA career with the Michigan Tech Huskies, where the defenceman scored 29 points in 139 career games.
Stockton is an affiliate of the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the farm team for the New York Islanders.
Stebner is joining the team right away.
