Former Redford staffer put in $330,000 worth of travel

New details about a government staffer for former premier Alison Redford have been released.

Documents obtained by the Canadian Press show that right after Redford won the 2012 election, she hired Michelle Tetreault as a trip planner.

Tetreault’s job was to fly to places the Premier was planning on visiting in the coming weeks, such as China, India, Switzerland, and London.

She would then take photos and notes about potential hotels and restaurants, making lists of travel tips.

She would then join the Premier on those trips, organizing tours, rental cars, and luggage delivery.

In the less than two years on the job, Tetreault’s travel costs hit 330-thousand dollars.

When Redford resigned as premier in March, Tetreault’s job was cut and she was reassigned.
