A representative from the Fort McKay Métis Community is the newest to the Governance Committee of the Wood Buffalo Environmental Association.
Peter Fortna is the Manager of Sustainable Development with the Fort McKay Métis and joined the committee as the new Secretary/Treasurer in December.
Fortna has been attending the WBEA general and committee meetings.
In a release Executive Director, Dr. Kevin Percy said that Fortna has a good understanding of the committee’s mission and values.
The Fort McKay Métis Community is a stakeholder with the WBEA and Percy says that he is proud to represent their interests at the WBEA table.
