Fort McMurray Air Show pilot's fighter jet struck by lightning

The Royal Canadian Air Force pilot who wowed audience sin Fort McMurray, says he’s doing just fine after his CF-18 was struck by lightning.

Captain Adam “Manik” Runge is part of the CF-18 demonstration team and was one of the headliners during the Fort McMurray International  Air Show.

He was flying the plane from High River to Whitecourt recently, and was just 10 minutes from his destination when the fighter jet was hit.

Runge says he could see the lightning bolt coming towards the plane.

The electronics in the Hornet started flashing and he felt a tingling through his body.
