A 19-year-old is facing a first degree murder charge.
Nigel LaFrance of Fort McMurray was arrested Tuesday for the death of a 26-year-old man.
The victim was assaulted March 17 on Mustang Rd. He was rushed to hospital but later died. An autopsy revealed the death was caused by a stab wound.
LaFrance is also charged with robbery with a weapon and carrying a weapon for dangerous purposes. Wood Buffalo RCMP say there’s no sign it was a random act.
He makes his first court appearance April 13.
