The Baker's will climb Mount Kilimanjaro with the goal of raising $10,000 for the Northern Lights Health Foundation.

A pair of Fort McMurrayites will be hiking to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Northern Lights Health Foundation.

Tyler and Christina Baker will trek to the top of the fourth highest mountain in the world (19,431 feet tall) in Tanzania, Africa.

The pair is hoping to raise $10,000 for the Northern Lights Health Foundation.

“We’re both anxious and excited about our trek to the Summit. When deciding on starting this journey – we knew there was no better cause to support than the Northern Lights Health Foundation,” said Christina Baker. “We’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received. I’m thrilled to know we can help the Health Foundation make positive changes to health care in our region. Hopefully the energy of all who’ve supported this cause will also give us the energy we’ll need to reach the Summit!”

The Bakers have been training for months for their eight day climb which begins on Jan.21, 2015.
