The full list of the four-day schedule leading up to next year’s Northern Kickoff CFL game is out.
Friday, was the year countdown to the preseason meet between the Eskis and Roughriders, that will celebrate the grand opening of the new Shell Place at MacDonald Island.
The Regional Recreation Corporations announced next year’s events are:
–> Kickoff Classic Golf Tournament at the Miskanaw Golf Club, June 10
–> Jersey Gala, June 11
–> Rock the Lot, June 12
–> Barbecue Challenge, June 12
–> GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® Attempt Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, June 12
The CFL game is on June 13th, 2015.
Also, the Food Bank’s been chosen as the charity of choice for the event.
The “Kick Hunger” campaign set its goal at 100-thousand pounds of food.
Executive Director Arianna Johnson says that’s half of the total weight raised last year and will help address the increase it’s seeing in people using its facilities.
