The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers says its members still haven’t decided how they’re going to pay their share of the new oil sands monitoring program.
The joint federal-provincial program was announced last July, but industry is supposed to contribute 50 million dollars a year of the cost.
CAPP says it hopes to have a plan finalized by the end of this month.
Industry already spends 15 million dollars a year on environmental monitoring.
