Governments and industry team-up to improve pipeline system

The province has teamed with B-C, Ottawa and the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association to find ways to improve the country’s pipeline system.

The Association says by late fall the Canadian Pipeline Technology Collaborative is expected to be up and running.

It will support research from universities, and other institutions using public and private money to find ways to make the pipelines safer and more efficient.

CEPA says universities, environmental and First Nation groups will likely be invited to the table, and the Saskatchewan government has also been approached.
