Well it’s almost a year for the macisland pool… and here’s what i figured out… There are never enough guards to guard the place.. I have been there when there were two or three people i’n the deep end and absolutely no guards anywhere near… The guards i’n the yellow shirts.. Quietly do their job, but when they graduate to the black shirt they somehow think they are of super hero status… Snappin their fingers at ya, and speaking to grown adults like they were some sort of alien i’n for a bath. It’s ridiculous. I am willing to bet, that this pool will have something of a serious nature and it will be due to not enough guards.

I could understand if the waterpark isn’t opened i’n the early mornings but to close it mid day Saturday, just doesn’t make sense. As for a kid chitton i’n the pool for God sakes if your the life guard and you see a baby i’n the pool without the sanitary little swimmers diapers.. Ask em to leave or go buy it at the front desk. I’m finding it hard to believe that everytime i go to that pool they have to close a section down cause someone chit! The place is beautiful but what joke

Is anyone really surprised that a large public/ non-profit facility in FMM has a problem recruiting and retaining quality staff? Just wait until they try to staff the elder care facility.

Myself and my 5 year old go swimming 5-10 times per month for the past year. We have never had an issue with one single lifeguard on duty.

Your five year old must behave better than me and I’m 50!

I’ve spent my whole life as a pool rat and if i didn’t know any better, i would think he guards were trained by Fred pretty… The worst pool monster ever…. It’s more of the supervisors than the lifeguards… I think bye have AK 47′s i’n those rescue floats…

I also spent my whole life as a pool rat. and i also have an issue with this pool. people that go there not giving these guards enough credit. you know what i find upsetting? People in this city bi**hing and complaining about everything. im sorry sava, age doesnt give you the right to complain and not try and solve. Once you have met with the these supervisors and black shirts and have offered constructive feed back and tried to help solve problems instead of boast loudly online about what you dont like, maybe youll get a little credibility.

Woe-is- me … Had a good chat with the pool manager back i’n sept and again i’n dec… She is probably the biggest problem at the pool. Woe- is- you… Seeing you know so much about it, you go fix it.. Then let us know how you did.. I’ll give you a star on your chart..

i think, if you really have that much of a problem with the pool and its staff and whatever else you hate about it, save your self the brain haemorrhage and don’t go swimming there. like, why put yourself through all that “guards & black shirt people” who are trying to do there job, and just stay home.

They should pass a bylaw … you cant be bothered to put your baby in a water proof diaper .. you pay the extra thousands of dollars it costs to clean up up after them
