Just wondering what kind of experience moms on here have had in the maternity ward at the hospital?
I am due in about 6 weeks and have heard good things about the staff down there. I’m more so wondering if you get your own room…etc

Dr.Chaudrey will be delivering my baby as well, has anyone else had her for their labor?

It all depends on how busy they are. You labor and deliver, recover all in the same room. You L&D by yourself but if they are really busy you may get put in a room with some else afterward. That happened to me in Feb, I was moved to shared room, so I went home an hour later. The nurses I have had (had two babies there in the last couple of years) were fantastic.

I gave birth to both my children here and both times the nurses were incredible. With my first, the Dr. never got there in time and the nurse delivered my son and with my second, I ran into some trouble and I couldn’t have gotten through it without the nurses. They were amazing!! Your gonna be in great hands :)

I had my daughter here in December. The nurses were fantastic. The hospital was not busy at the time and I had my own room.

I just had my second. Dr. Chaudry was my Doc but was on holidays so I had Dr. Wong. One nurse said to me twice that Chaudry has good beside manner but you want a gyno, she obviously thought that Chaudry wasn’t very good. The nurses are really good.

You will have your own room to labor/deliver/recover in, however depending on how busy they are you may be transfered to a room with a roomie until you and baby are ready to go home.

I agree with all the comments! I had my son in May and was able to have my own room from the time I got there until I went home. The nurse I had during labor and delivery was FANTASTIC! My doctor was Dr. Phiri but was off at the time I was there so the locum Dr. Wilson delivered (we had an issue of him getting stuck)

I had my water broken Friday afternoon, sent home and back Saturday morning. He was born Saturday evening and I was home less than 24 hours later.
