When it comes to bullying, more than half of all Canadians say they’ve been teased or tormented in their youth.
The findings are from a new Harris-Decima poll for Big Brothers/Big Sisters that shows one-third of adults think the abuse they suffered had a long-lasting effect.
Despite a more visible presence in the media, president Bruce Macdonald says it’s too difficult to tell whether bullying has increased.
Eighty-five per cent of those polled believe providing children with an older volunteer mentor is an effective method to reduce bullying.
