Charges are pending against two women that lead police on a chase earlier this morning.
According to the RCMP, police were called to a suspicious truck on Gravelstone Road in Stone Creek just after 8 this morning.
Initial reports heard over the police scanner indicated the attending officer saw one woman smoking crack, and when he approached the truck on foot, the driver fled.
The suspects fled towards Thickwood, where officers called off the chase shortly later.
Reports say the driver was running through traffic lights during the chase.
Immediately after police ended the chase, the vehicle was found, and the women were arrested.
Police say there will be charges laid under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
