American Senator John Hoeven has finished up his tour of the oil sands.
The North Dakota Republican checked out sites with Deputy Premier Thomas Lukaszuk yesterday, and says he was impressed by the transparency and environmental stewardship.
That’s not a big surprise – Hoeven is already a huge supporter of the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline.
The province says politicians from the Democratic Party will be touring the region later this month.
