Hot Acts Cool Plays Calling for Submissions

Events Wood Buffalo and the Alberta Drama Festival Association (ADFA) are teaming up again to present Hot
Acts Cool Plays, the ADFA Peace Region East theatrical competition, on
March 2nd & 3rd.
One-act play submissions are currently being accepted from nonprofessional, amateur, and community theatre groups. There is $2500.00 of prize money to be won. Categories include Best Actor (Male and Female), Best Director, Technical Achievement and Best Production. Winner of Best Production will receive an all expenses paid trip to the ADFA Provincial Festival, at the Bailey Theatre in Camrose, Alberta in April 2012.

Entry forms can be found on the Events Wood Buffalo website www.eventswoodbuffalo.com. Plays must be 10-60 minutes in length. No adaptations or excerpts will be accepted. Participants must not belong to an actor’s union such as A.C.T.R.A or Equity. Entry fee is $25.00 per group, which will also allow participants to become an ADFA member.
