Husky has dropped the hammer on about 400 jobs Tuesday according to The Canadian Press.

The Calgary Herald reports the reductions were across the company as a whole.

“These are difficult decisions and we will continue to take the steps necessary to ensure the company’s resilience through this cycle and beyond,” said spokesman Mel Duvall in an email to the Herald Tuesday.

Husky Energy Inc. had already announced the elimination of about 1,400 jobs in October.

The Calgary-based company slashed its 2016 capital spending plan by $800 million in January.
