The province is expected to make a major announcement about Highway 63 on Friday.
It’s bringing media, politicians, and other stakeholders from both Edmonton and Fort McMurray to Wandering River to tour one of the newly twinned areas.
That’s not expected to open until after wintertime; but the government will be making an announcement about the twinning project.
Transport minister Ric McIver, federal minister Tim Uppal, and Athabasca-Redwater MLA Jeff Johnson will be there.
It’ll also have the vice president of Ledcor, which is twinning the highway around Wandering River.
