Jim Prentice taking PC campaign to Fort McMurray

Premier Jim Prentice announced in Fort McMurray, Thursday, October 2, 2014, that work on the final 12-kilometre stretch of Highway 63, just north of Highway 55, has begun. Jim Prentice is hoping to give the PCs a boost at the polls with a visit to Fort McMurray. The premier is appearing at the Fort McMurray-Conklin office for a barbecue at 11:45 a.m. today.

The 505 MacKenzie Blvd. campaign office is where Minister Don Scott is trying to fend off three opponents. Former MP and current Wildrose Leader Brian Jean, NDP Ariana Mancini and Liberal Melinda Hollis are all trying to steal his seat in the legislature.

Prentice is also scheduled to speak to MyMcMurray in the newsroom later this morning.

He continues his campaign by travelling to Calgary tonight.
