Kate Middleton: Pregnancy Decisions

Kate Middleton is open to having a C-section and is leaving all decisions about the logistics of her childbirth to the royal physicians overseeing her pregnancy.

Royal correspondent Robert Jobson tells Now Magazine the Duchess of Cambridge, who is due to give birth mid-July, won’t even have a say in whether she goes the natural childbirth or the heavy painkiller route. “She’s taken advice from the royal doctors already,” says Jobson.

What Kate does know is she plans to buck tradition by allowing her husband of two years, Prince William, inside the delivery room to witness the birth of their first child.

Another longstanding tradition that will change is the royal birth announcement. Along with a sign posted to the gates of Buckingham Palace as expected, an official announcement will come via Twitter.
