Kinder Morgan asking NEB for deadline extension

Kinder Morgan is asking for more time to answer over 10,000 questions submitted to the National Energy Board about its Trans Mountain pipeline expansion proposal.

June 4th is the company’s deadline to respond to information requests from groups and people with intervenor status.

The company says it can’t do it and is asking the board to push the date back to the 27th.

The line would ship Alberta oil across the mountains to the Vancouver area for shipment to foreign markets.

The propoosed expansion’s facing opposition from environmental and First Nations groups.
