Kyle Harrietha nominated as 2015 federal Liberal candidate

Kyle Harrietha will be the Liberal candidate in next year’s federal election.

The Fort McMurray-Cold Lake Federal Liberal Association voted him in at a meeting on Saturday. Harrietha was runner-up to Conservative candidate David Yurdiga in this year’s by-election.

“The Liberal campaign for change on the doorsteps led to our best result in 46 years and I’m truly humbled by the support we received from residents during by-election,” he stated. “Over the next year, as we approach the fixed election date of October 2015, I will continue to meet with residents on their doorsteps from Fort McMurray to Wabasca and from Lac La Biche to Cold Lake.”

Harrietha is the General Manager of the Metis Local 1935, and previously worked on Parliament Hill as a legislative assistant for seven years.
