The La Loche Winter Trail is now open.
The winter road to the Saskatchewan Border has a load limit of ten thousand kilograms for now; it’ll increase as the conditions get better.
The municipality says sections of the road are still in rough and bumpy condition, and they’re asking drivers to be careful when passing flooding crews on the ice bridge over the Christina River.
The speed limit on ice bridges and ramps is five kilometres an hour.
