Liepert will not seek re-election

CBC News is reporting that Finance Minister Ron Liepert isn’t planning to run in the next provincial election.
CBC says Liepert, who is the MLA for Calgary-West, made the announcement yesterday at a closed-door caucus meeting in Edmonton.
Former cabinet ministers Iris Evans (Sherwood Park) and Lloyd Snelgrove (Vermilion-Lloydminster) have both announced they will not be seeking re-election. Neither were named to Premier Alison Redford’s cabinet in October.
