The Suncor Community Leisure Centre at MacDonald Island is thrilled to announce the construction of a state-of-the-art rock wall on the first level. The rock wall will be build adjacent to the squash and racquetball courts, with construction set to commence in late September, and end in early 2012.
The squash and racquetball courts are primed to receive an overhaul of their own, and should be up and running in their new format in late October. The project entails a complete modernization of the courts, which will expand from two to three surfaces due to the installation of a retractable wall. Brand new hardwood floors will be added along with non-glare glass, while a new entrance will emphasize a “clubhouse” feel.
