Major pothole repairs on local highways start Tuesday

The province is starting some major pothole repairs on local highways next week.

Alberta Transportation says starting Tuesday, it’ll get a five hundred thousand dollar project going on six stretches of road, which are each around 60 to 100 metres.

Most of the work will be on Highway 881; three stretches near Gregoire Lake Estates and another by the Ravens Nest Gas Station.

Highway 63 will get worked on north of Suncor, and Highway 69 will see repairs by the airport.

Both lanes will be restricted on 881, while only one lane in each direction will be closed on 63 and 69.

The province says it’s going to try to keep most of the work between 9 am and 3 pm.
