Only minor injuries were reported, after Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested a man following a fight in the Boomtown Casino parking lot on Tuesday afternoon.
A 37-year-old man was struck by a pickup truck, which had then fled the scene. 24 year old Vincent Earle Hawes was arrested with the help of the RCMP’s Traffic Section and Police Dog services.
Hawes has been charged with numerous offences:
• Assault with a Weapon
• Assault on a Peace Officer
• Resist/obstruct a Peace Officer
• 4 counts of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
• 2 counts of Flight from Police
The accused is has been remanded in custody until his first court appearance on April 16, 2012.
