A man had to be taken to hospital for surgery after he was injured at the Susan Lake Gravel Pit on Sunday morning.
It happened at about 7:35 AM at Stony Valley Plant 2, about 85 kilometres north of the city.
Occupational Health and Safety says the man was crossing a road when he was hit by the bucket of a moving loader.
He suffered injuries to his foot, knee, and head.
OHS couldn’t say how old the man was, or what his condition was, just that he was an employee of Stony Valley Contracting.
