The province is shutting down the Highway 63 rest stop at Mariana Lake next Monday.
It’ll be closed for 2 weeks to remove contaminated soil, according to the Edmonton Journal.
That’ll allow the road to be twinned in that area.
The rest stop had a gas station and country store for 38 years until they were closed back in ’08.
That was supposedly to make room for the twinning project.
