A Medal of Honour has been given to one of our very own Wood Buffalo RCMP officers,
Sgt. Rodney Klenk was one of the brave members who helped residents of Slave Lake stay safe while their community dealt with a devastating fire last year.
Klenk was with the Slave Lake detachment at the time, and left his own family and personnel property while the fire ripped through the town.
He currently works with the Fort Chipewyan detachment, and was recently presented with the Slave Lake Medal of Honor.
