Medical associations look into doctor intimidation

The Canadian and Alberta medical associations say the province needs better rules to prevent administrators from bullying doctors.

The CMA and AMA made the recommendation in a joint submission to the Health Quality Council that’s reviewing the system.

They say there is systematic intimidation of doctors in Alberta healthcare. They also say an ombudsman should have expanded powers to help deal with complaints.
