MOB forward Hutt suspended 3 games

The Oil Barons will have to play this week’s games without one of their best players.

Forward Killian Hutt has been suspended for the next three games, making him ineligible for Wednesday’s home game against Sherwood Park and the Barons’ two road games this weekend in Lloydminster.

Hutt was penalized two minutes for kneeing in Saturday’s 5-4 shootout loss to the Brooks Bandits after an awkward collision with new Bandits forward Reed Linaker, who did not return to the game.

Hutt is being suspended as a result of the injury, but no penalty for intending to injure was assessed on the play.

The former Swift Current Bronco of the WHL had 9 points in his last 5 games, and had scored 34 points in 29 games overall.

He is the #11 leading scorer in the AJHL.
