Motorcyclist clocked at 279 km/h north of Fort McMurray

RCMP say a motorcyclist is facing charges after being clocked at 279 kilometres per hour on Highway 63 north of Fort McMurray yesterday.

Police also say the rider was weaving in and out of vehicles while nearly tripling the speed limit.

33-year old James Whitney of Fort McMurray was charged with dangerous driving and had the motorcycle seized.
