Five pickup trucks had their gas tanks punctured in Anzac sometime overnight on Mar. 19.

According to the Wood Buffalo RCMP the trucks were parked in the Stony Mountain Road area.

“Investigators believe the person(s) responsible was out to steal fuel and other items,” wrote Cpl. George Cameron, Wood Buffalo RCMP in a press release. “Stealing fuel in this manner has the potential to create a very dangerous situation as sparks and fumes don’t go well together.”

One truck also had its tonneau cover slashed.
