Suncor says it’ll continue to help the municipality get the word out about recycling.
The oil company and the municipality announced today that they’ll extend their partnership until the end of March of next year.
Suncor communications director Tracey Wolsey says it’s been well worth the more than nine hundred thousand dollars they’ve contributed.
“In a northern community this can often have a lot of challenges,” she said. “And what the community’s been able to do is not only do it successfully, but drive the will to do it from the residents in the area; and I think that’s what’s really significant.”
The municipality recently won two awards for its communications strategy on recycling.
