A couple members of the RCMP’s Integrated Traffic Unit had a close call on Highway 63 yesterday.
About 40 k south of town, a southbound Ford F-150 tried to pass two tractor trailers, and pulled into the officers’ oncoming lane.
The pickup was going 151 km/h, crossed double solid lines, and nearly caused a head-on collision.
Police pulled over the truck, and charged the 42-year-old with Careless driving.
He was given a mandatory court summons, where he’ll face a minimum of a suspended license and heavy fine.
