McMurrayites will have to wait a little longer for the airport’s massive new terminal to open.
The airport now says it’s delaying the grand opening to June 9 of next year.
The $258-million project was originally scheduled to open in April.
The airport says the later date will allow for a safe and complete airport operation when it opens.
It’s also set the dates for the city’s first ever International Air Show, which will run from May 30th to June 1st next year.
The airport is also planning several major announcements about the new terminal at its annual public meeting tomorrow.
