Nexen says production at its Long Lake project is getting better – and it’s gotten more expansions approved.
The company says the project averaged 34,500 barrels per day in the first quarter of this year.
That’s up 10 percent from fourth quarter 2010 – but the project is designed to produce 72,000 b-p-d.
Nexen has also gotten approval for a 14th and 15th well pad, which should add 4 to 7 thousand b-p-d, as well as for a new property just south of Long Lake.
