The National Film Board of Canada is announcing a new “documentary game” that will be available online starting November 25.

It’s called Fort McMoney, and is the result of over two years of research and two months of filming done by the Montreal-based media company, TOXA.

Over four weeks, users can decide on the virtual future of the city, while being educated on the social, economic, political, and cultural history here.

Users will be able to virtually walk around the city and meet residents, ask them questions, make decisions, and see how the choices play out.

The game will also be trilingual – available in English, French, and German.

Fort McMoney is being launched at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam, and will have pre-launch events in Paris, Montreal, and Toronto.
